WHEN IT WAS HIP HOP! THE SUGARHILL GANG R.I.P BIG BANK HANK. WONDER MIKE, MASTER GEE AND BIG BANK HANK set of the hip hop world with their 1st release titled "RAPPERS DELIGHT". Again when the song came out I said who are these guys, Never heard of them before. Especially with all the parties going on or the jams as we called them back in the days groups like Grand Wizard Theodore, The Funky 4 plus 1, Busybee, Luvbug Starski, Kurtis Blow Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5, Afrika Bambaataa and Soulsonic Force to name a few were the only most who would have expected to drop the 1st record. No matter how things came about THE SUGARHILL GANG is a big part of Hip Hop. Today due to legal issues the Original group with original members Wonder Mike and Master Gee along with Hen Dog who replaced Big Bank Hank 15 years ago they perform under the name Rappers Delight, but hopefully things might change and the group will get their name back and continue to be THE SUGARHILL GANG!
